=================================

Yesterday I participated in "FASHION FEUD" - Fashion Project in San Francisco. It was good! Nice and creative atmosphere, good music... very casual and fun. A came earlier and had a plenty of time to prepare a shooting. Models Shai White and Sarah Pesavento arrived earlier too so we had a time to come up with some great photos right before show started. Shai and Sarah - both are great model and I really enjoyed working with them.

It was a live "Project Runway" - like competition on stage. Designers are given an hour to create a design to prepare for a runway on stage. Models will have a walk-of on stage with their newly designed outfits. Fashion designers Julia and Chanel did a great job.. but competition is competition...  Finally after models strutted down the catwalk in just designed dresses - Designer Julia and Model Shai won!

Another photo session with the wonderful model Jenna Moreci and my partner, the creative and talented makeup artist Aimee Lam.
This time I had great photographer Christine Nguyen helping me during this session. I met her @ a Santana Row Fashion Show.

It was awesome photo shoot. We started with makeup at 10:00 am in Aimee's house. While Aimee did her magic, I was going though some fashion magazines, finalizing my ideas. What makes the photo? Why are some photos technically good but still very boring?

This time I decided to concentrate more on the motion and movement of the model: freezing the time, catching something that will never be seen again, this is what I love in photography. Actually I always like dynamic photos, but for this session I decided to concentrate on this specifically. OMG! Poor Jenna! – You are going run and jump for a few hours in a row….  :-) And you know  what!? Jenna did it ! We were working about five hours, nonstop.

Jenna is very enthusiastic and creative. She has a wonderful personality with a lot of positive energy, so working with her is a pleasure and very fun. We did three major theme changes and a few variations for each. It’s a lot for one shoot, but we made it happen!

Thanks a lot, Jenna, for your talent and hard work! Thank you Aimee – You created wonderful work for makeup and hair, as usual :-)
Thank you Christine for your help! Let’s work together again sometime!
