Actually, I didn't plan this project. - I drove to San Francisco to start another photo project...
But when I parked my car near SF MOMA I immediately noticed a lot of people who were walking with framed portraits. A few minutes later I realized that these people were coming from Jochen Gerz SFMOMA Special The Gift Event.
During the run of The Art of Participation, more than a thousand SFMOMA visitors had their portraits taken as part of Gerz's The Gift. A number of portraits have been exhibited at the museum and will appear in The Examiner. For this special closing reception, the artist invites project participants to return to SFMOMA to receive a framed portrait from the exhibition as a gift to display at home.

I was looking at people coming from MOMA with huge portraits... it was so Cool ! People with portraits of people! Wow !!! It can be a project by itself !!! :-) So I spent about two hours in front of MOMA photographing this... And I really like the result. Hope you will have fun too. By the way, all people who I photographed were very nice and friendly. Thank you very much all! I didn't retouch photos much... I think this is not really important for this kind of project . Also you will find some photos that are almost the same. I didn't delete them because I like them and wanted to keep them...
